The story of Carmignac, more than 30 years in the making

Founded in France in 1989 by Edouard Carmignac and Eric Helderlé, Carmignac cultivates excellence and relies on a strong entrepreneurial culture that is embodied in the freedom and courage of the management team to forge solid convictions and put them into practice.

The company's international development began in 1999 when Carmignac opened its first subsidiary in Luxembourg. In 2024, its funds are distributed in 15 countries worldwide through its 7 European offices. More than 30 years after its creation, Carmignac has become one of Europe's leading independent asset management companies.

Technical precision and human passion - The Carmignac Sonic Identity

Carmignac created its own sonic identity with an original creation taking its inspiration from the musical universe of the contemporary composer, Steve Reich. This sonic identity emphasizes how important it is to combine the technical precision and the human passion, the individual talents and the collective mindset, all those elements that we nurture everyday as an asset management company.

THE CARMIGNAC FONDATION

Founded in 2000 by Édouard Carmignac, the Fondation Carmignac is a corporate foundation structured around two main pillars: a contemporary art collection of more than 300 works, and the Carmignac Photojournalism Award that annually supports an investigative report that is the subject of an exhibition and a catalogue. In partnership with the Fondation Carmignac was inaugurated a new location accessible to the public: the Villa Carmignac on the island of Porquerolles where exhibitions and cultural events take place.
